Hey it's Sunday again

Which is a good thing as I only work tomorrow then I am off to a conference and vacation in Arizona until Oct 3 Yea!!!!!! I am taking my laptop along so should have computer access most places.
The weather has continued to be great until about 1/2 hour ago when it got real cloudy so maybe we will get some rain. I did mow the lawn last night and clip off dead flower heads, etc.
Saturday, Judi and I went to Muskegon to Scrapbook 101 make and take. We had a lot of fun seeing Sharon and making the cards.......

We then stopped at Perkins and had a very late lunch/early dinner. A great time.

Today I talked and went to visit my Mom and do stuff for her ie: checks, etc. I did some wash, made some paper doll ATCS for swap this month--theme is music ....

I also finished my Royal Bird ATC for a swap on ARTchix.....

Here is a card I received in one of my month;y card swaps--very cool in black, white and silver.

Busy Week

Busy week it seems. We have been having some cool nights but sunny days continue--my kind of weather.

Every night I had stuff to do plus water garden, Sandy's lawn, pick beans and tomatoes, mow, etc, etc. I have been super busy at work so look forward to a little time off coming up. Unfortunately, everything remains uncertain due to Sandy and her mother. She seems to be doing a little better but whether Sandy can get away or not remains to be seen.

I did go out to Olive Garden with Phyllis for dinner last night. We had a great time just talking. we split 3 appetizers and then had dessert and coffee. It was wonderful.

Today at work, 9 of us got together for lunch--it was Butternut Squash soup day at the coffee shop which is our favorite

I got caught up with some household stuff tonight and need to catch up with email now.

It seems tomorrow will be another busy day at work but at least it is Friday!!!!

All I can say is WOW what a fun time. I rode with Yvonne and Sue P and arrived at Scrapbook 101 just before 10am--some people were already there and the great team who were out hosts were doing all the last minute things.

9/9/09 and beyond

It has been a busy week at work and lots to do at home. Sandy is totally tied up with her Mother who broke more vertebrae in her back and needs surgery on Friday to cement it again so no wedding in Kentucky for them.

I have been hanging out on the back deck the past 2 nights trying to get a glimpse of the International Space Station and take some pictures... saw it both nights fly over my house but pictures are difficult. I did get bit by a million mosquitoes while out there too.
Kind of blurry but at least I saw it!!!

Also I took s few more blooming pictures as summer seems to be lingering on... I am loving the tomatoes and beans plus Sandy is picking blackberries and now Concord grapes at her Mom's and leaving for me when she has a minute away.

A Tribute------ a good friend and co-worker died from cancer today----way too young.
I will miss the laughter and fun we have both in our current job and in a former job at the Poison Center .. Rest now Gayle....

So what is blooming and what have I been doing???

Blooming continues....

Another warm, sunshiney day.. I started the day with Sandy and the Kuiper/Koetje clan at the Red geranium for breakfast. Got to see Emory--she is getting so big so fast....

With Grandpa.

Sandy cut my hair then she was off to her mothers for the day. I got a lot of artwork done ie: 3 cards stamped, finished my photo art journal pages, finished my atcs for an Artchix swap and worked on my digital class I am taking plus all the household stuff that needed doing. I did snap and freeze about 10 bags of beans today.
Well it is back to work tomorrow-not looking forward to it after a 3 day weekend.
